about me
from balanced to force-free
I am a certified gentle trainer from Italy, specialising in dogs' social behaviours, aggression, and village dogs.
It all started when I adopted a free-roaming "rescue" puppy, and nothing worked: treats, control, force - yes, I started from force. I just wasn't relevant to this little wild creature, and there was nothing I could do to make him listen.
A lot changed and Eskel and I are -as a friend might say- a unit. I graduated from the Gentle Team school as a "dog educator", an Italian qualification that is different from "trainer". Education is about supporting an individual throughout its physical, mental, and emotional development. This is what I do.
But my education is not over. Every year I participate to webinars, workshops, and follow-up courses to keep up with the most modern dog training science and never stop learning.

now, the irrelevant stuff

Besides being a dog nerd, I am in love with whatever fantasy, from books to video games. Of course, I play D&D.
Also, since you need a bit of extra muscle to keep up with dogs, at least most of them, you'll find me at the gym most days, pushing boundaries. I'm particularly interested in barbells and kettlebells and all weight lifting.
Last but not least, I've been involved in wildlife conservation, rescue, rehab, and release since 2015. I have a very very soft spot for bats so you might see some popping up in my stories once in a while.
