Corrections and improving social skills

€40

join the correction webinar - live & recording

Having a "rude" dog corrected by a more experienced dog is by now standard practice to teach social skills. But does this work and how? Do corrections actually teach a dog empathy and social skills instead of just stopping a dog in the moment?

How do dogs actually teach better social skills to puppies and adults, and how can we make sure we do the same?

This webinar is about explaining corrections, but also deeply understanding what's happening in an interaction, why a dog is "rude" or socially inappropriate, and finding the most effective way to develop your dog's social skills. And corrections might not be the answer.

This is for the nerds that want to see the theory and how this affects dogs' nervous system, as well as practical examples and solutions. As always, we'll take into consideration social approaches instead of conditioning, and include video analysis.

It’s so informative and emotionally intelligent! I love how the series focuses on how to help your dogs feel safe and address the underlying emotions instead of suppressing behaviour or giving distractions to mask the true feelings

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THE WEBINARS

Absolutely loved the webinar! I think I learned more from your one video about body language than I’ve learned in two years! The risk of retreating too early was fascinating. I definitely see a lot of River in the streeties, he is all about conserving his energy and then aggressive behaviour to ward other dogs off and to the untrained eye it can seem to come from nowhere but there have been a lot of signals prior to that also by for space that I now see. I wish we lived closer!

I loved the presentation and Q&As, thanks! And I really enjoyed hearing what the other owners struggle with too - it’s good to know we’re not alone
